A rhombic dodecahedron is bounded by 12 congruent rhombuses. The angle between two adjoining rhombuses is 120°. A rhombic dodecahedron has 14 vertices and 24 edges. It is dual to the cuboctahedron, which has 14 faces and 12 vertices, see also model 474.
The rhombic dodecahedron is one of the 13 Catalan solids. Catalan solids are dual to the 13 Archimedean solids. All faces of a Catalan solid are congruent and all angles between to adjoining faces are equal.
